The 'Cadenza and interludes' for the Sonata in a minor for solo flute (Wq 132) by C. P. E. Bach were written to a commission from the flautist Philipp Jundt, who gave the first performance of the work on 22 May 2021. The brief cadenza was composed for a single breath, in the spirit of Quantz. The two interludes refer both motivically and harmonically to the corresponding movements of the Bach Sonata.
