Yahaïouni is a word that comes from the Arabic language and means “the light that shines in the eyes”. This capriccio-shaped piece is a free interpretation of the musical style of the “compás moro”, literally translated “Moorish rhythm”. Traditional instruments like rabâb or ney are imitated with a very peculiar scordatura.
